Name Revealed For NEW Un-Authorized ECW Documentary!

BWC Films PRODUCERS ANNOUNCE TITLE, RELEASE DATE, OF UNAUTHORIZED ECW DOCUMENTARY... Allentown, PA --Filmmakers John Philapavage and Kevin Kiernan announced the title of the “Unauthorized ECW Documentary”, their independent documentary chronicling the nineties pro wrestling subculture phenomenon Extreme Championship Wrestling and the company’s unique players. The film will be officially called Barbed Wire City, a title the men had had in mind since they were nineteen.

“It feels good to get this out there to those that have funded the finishing of the film, but also those that have been following along via the news sites and social media outlets,” Philapavage commented. “You’ve got a title and a date, and now I can get back to putting the final pieces together.”

Also announced privately to the duo’s Kickstarter.com backers (the crowd funding site that helped fund the film’s completion through fan support) was a release date that doubles as the film’s big screen debut. On Saturday April 20th, 2013, the film Barbed Wire City will premiere in the Philadelphia, PA area. A venue will be announced in the coming weeks. Tickets to the premiere, pre-ordering of the DVD, t-shirts, posters, as well as updates and more information will be made available on the film’s official website, Barbedwirecity.com, The site, which had a soft launch today, will be fully operational within the next two weeks.

“Right now we just want to get the business decisions done so we can focus on the last few weeks of post-production, said Kiernan. No more talk about when. It’s happening. Now I’ll be over here editing background noises out if anyone needs me,” he joked.

Roger Artigiani, General Manager of Asylum Arena (formerly known as the ECW Arena) has decided to re-open the famous bingo hall! He appeared at the end of the National Pro Wrestling Day card in Philly and announced the venue will be re-opening later into 2013! Good news to hear!!!

Tammy Sytch's Boyfriend Beats The Crap Out Of Her

As we noted yesterday, former WWE Diva Tammy "Sunny" Sytch was taken into custody once again on Friday night after a argument with her boyfriend at their house.

Following Sytch's arrest, she filed an assault complaint as she left the scene with two broken ribs and bruises all over her body. Her attorney Rob Serafinowicz issued the following statement.

“I believe that this situation was blown out of proportion. Tammie is doing her best to deal with her issues. She has made great progress and was putting forth her best efforts to try to identify issues in her relationship,”

Former WCW Star "The Stro" Talks About Mick Foley, More!

In an interview with Chris Yandek of CYInterview.com, former WCW Superstar The Stro gives his thoughts on Mick Foley and Bob Backlund being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. The veteran professional wrestling star has worked with both saying:

“Tremendous, utmost respect for both. I’ve wrestled with both through the years and the contributions both gentleman have gave this business is second to none. I mean, Mick Foley has put his body on the line. … More than anybody I know in this business and his passion, his intelligence is incredible. And same goes for Mr. Bob Backlund. Not only you know pro wrestling ranks, amateur as well, tremendous wrestler, all around great guy. Both individuals, great human beings to be around and really they’re more than deserving of being hall of famers.”

Stro is celebrating his birthday this weekend. While in WCW as The Maestro, he recalls a story of one of his past birthdays at the WCW Nitro Grill:

“It was good timing. A lot of the guys came down, the WCW roster came down for it and it was really cool. The food was really good at the time, so and you know Bob Ryder and Jeremy Borash did a WCW Live show remote from my birthday party there. So it was really cool.”

Jimmy Snuka Discusses Undertaker Using "The Phenom" Monicker, Being A Heel In ECW, More

Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka joined ClubWWI.com for a 34 minute uncut interview with James Guttman. Jimmy and James discuss his new book "Superfly: The Jimmy Snuka Story", whether he approached to join the New World Order, why he didn't turn heel and wrestle Hulk Hogan, seeing both his children in WWE, and much more.

If he realized that he was influencing an entire generation: "You know, brother, not really. It's just like when I'd travel somewhere and meet all these great guys who are coming up and getting into the wrestling business, I have a chance to sit down with them and talk to them. They pick my brain about the wrestling business. (They ask), "Why did you want to become a wrestler?" I tell them, "Brother, you got to love it. You've got to enjoy it. You've got to work at it. You've go to train you've got to take care of number one. You've got to be healthy and you've got to be strong about what you're doing. Don't be negative about nothing. Just go out there and have fun with the fans, bro."

Being a character in the 1980's WWF Rock-n- Wrestling cartoon: "I thought back to being a little kid again, enjoying myself. When I saw myself in the cartoon, I just went coocoo, man. I loved it. It was a beautiful blessing for me."

The Undertaker being called "The Phenom", which used to be his nickname: "I loved it. Because I'm like there like a teacher for these kids. The Undertake? I looked forward to that, brother, when Vince McMahon Jr. told me to wrestle The Undertaker at WrestleMania. Brother, I loved it. I said "Why not?" Here's a kid that's blowing up. He looks the part. He looked good. It was a pleasure for me to go in there and work with him. Look at him today. He hasn't lost yet. But someday- I hope someday that I can come back and beat him for the record you know? (laughs) So I gotta say I'm the real phenom! But he can carry it. That's alright with me. As long as they know I'm the real phenom."

Being a heel in the early days of ECW: "A lot ot (fans bring it up to him). I love it, brother. That's why I enjoy doing thing that I do. Being places and wrestling different guys. It's a beautiful trademark for me. I'm sure it is for them... Being a bad guy, brother. It's totally different than being a good guy, a babyface, against a heel. Brother, if I'm going to be a heel, I'm going to turn who I am, what I ak, and what I'm gonna do. I love it. I love both sides of the fence. When I became a babyface again, I just had to turn the light on, brother."

Tammy "Sunny" Sytch Arrested AGAIN!

NBCConnecticut.com is reporting that WWE Hall of Fame Diva Tammy “Sunny” Sytch was arrested in Branford, CT over the weekend. According to her attorney, Sunny was arrested for violating a court order when she was found at her ex-boyfriend’s house. We know that the two were scheduled to make indy appearances together recently.

Sytch is currently held on a $100,000 bond and will see a judge for arraignment on Monday.

I would tell her to get herself some help, but that’s pointless. Sad how she is becoming the third member of the Scott Hall-Jake Roberts club.
